Sustainable development committee
In brief
The purpose of the Sustainable Development Committee is to implement actions aimed at better integrating “sustainability” into research practices at NeuroPSI.

In order to reduce the ecological footprint of NeuroPSI, a working group was created in December 2019 with the mission to develop and promote environment-friendly approaches within the institute.
During the year 2020, we conducted two surveys :
- The first one aimed to know the opinions of NeuroPSI staff regarding the theme of ecological transition.
- The second survey allowed us to evaluate the number of people willing to go by bike to the building in Saclay, in order to anticipate parking problems.
In 2021, we want to encourage staff to adopt more virtuous daily practices on the themes of IT/digital and non-biological waste management through the distribution of a best practice guide and small group discussions.
Our future actions will concern, among others:
- rationalization of deliveries,
- the use of plastics,
- awareness of the ecological footprint of scientific missions and trips,
- or the use of water
