Departments

Department CNN

Head: Valérie Doyère
Deputy head: Glenn Dallérac

The department « Cognitive & Network Neuroscience » (CNN) seeks to decipher neural bases of behaviour and cognition, as well as their alterations in neuropathologies. CNN gathers research teams that use different animal models, in the field or in the lab, to study fundamental behaviours and cognitive functions, such as communication, decision-making, learning and memory, as well as their underlying mechanisms at the cellular and network levels.

Department DECS

Head: Sylvie Rétaux
Deputy head: Martial Ruat

The department « Development, Evolution, and Cell Signaling » (DECS) studies cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the formation, maintenance, regeneration and function of the nervous system, and how they are shaped by evolution.

Department ICN

Head: Daniel E. Shulz
Deputy head: Catherine Del Negro

The department « Integrative & Computational Neuroscience » (ICN) is engaged in an interdisciplinary and multi-scale study of the brain to identify computational principles and neurophysiological mechanisms in thalamo-cortical networks, governing the emergence of high-level brain functions, like perception and learning.
