Simulation de l’activité électrique des dendrites pendant les états actifs.

Alain Destexhe est Directeur de Recherches au CNRS. Il est Editeur en Chef de la revue Journal of Computational Neuroscience, et il a obtenu des contrats (grants) de différentes institutions, comme l’ANR (Agence Nationale de la Recherche), la CE (Commission Européenne), le MRC (Medical Research Council of Canada), les NIH (National Institutes of Health, USA), et le HFSP (Human Frontier Science Program). Il participe à l’organisation de conférences internationales et d’écoles d’été.

Son activité de recherche en neurosciences computationnelles se situe à l’interface entre la physique (systèmes dynamiques) et les neurosciences (électrophysioplogie). Les projets de recherche actuels incluent l’étude de l’activité stochastique du cortex cérébral et ses conséquences sur les propriétés intégratives et le codage neuronal, l’étude de la dynamique collective de réseaux neuronaux (oscillations, états chaotiques) et des potentiels de champ, ainsi que la conception de méthodes à l’interface avec l’électrophysiologie (extraction de conductance, analyse d’enregistrements par électrodes multiples, méthode de « Active Electrode Compensation », etc).
