BIND, un nouveau projet Européen à NeuroPSI : Altérations cérébrales et cognitives dans les dystrophinopathies

10 juillet 2020
This project has received funding by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement N° 847826

The team of Cyrille Vaillend at NeuroPSI (Orsay, France) is a French partner of a starting international effort to study dystrophin in the brain and the neurobiology of Duchenne and Becker muscular dystrophy (DMD/BMD).
BIND is a large and multiscale project supported by the European Union’s Horizon 2020. BIND connects 19 organisations from Europe and Japan and aims to define the spectrum and create an optimal and uniform outcome measure of the brain comorbidities in DMD/BMD.
Cyrille Vaillend is leader of a working package dedicated to the behavioural studies of mouse models of DMD, including cognitive and executive processes as well as behavioural comorbidities (anxiety, social behaviour) in collaboration with the team of Sylvie Granon. The group of C Vaillend is also involved in the characterization of brain dystrophins expression and preclinical studies based on genetic therapy (collaboration with Aurélie Goyenvalle, UVSQ).

Starting Date: 01-01-2020 ; End Date: 31-12-2024
